Mays Chemical Recalls Frozen Pork Loins Over Import Reinspection Issue

Mays Chemical Company of Puerto Rico is recalling approximately 46,315 pounds of frozen, raw boneless pork loins after the products were not presented for required U.S. import reinspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recalled pork loins were produced between February 27 and March 12, 2025. The affected items are packaged in variable-weight cardboard boxes containing plastic-wrapped products labeled “Frozen Pork Loin, Boneless, Center 520MM.” The products bear Canada establishment number “Canada 12” inside the Canadian mark of inspection.

The pork was distributed to distributors, restaurants, institutions, and federal establishments in Puerto Rico for further processing. The issue was identified during routine FSIS inspection activities. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the products.

FSIS warns that some of the pork may still be in use at food service or institutional locations. Businesses and individuals who purchased the products are advised not to consume or serve them and to discard or return them to the place of purchase.
