CVS Health Unveils AI-Driven Health100 Platform to Improve Patient Engagement

CVS Health has revealed new details about Health100, an artificial intelligence-powered consumer engagement platform expected to launch later this year. Developed in partnership with Google Cloud, the platform aims to help patients manage their healthcare more easily by bringing together data from insurers, providers, pharmacies, laboratories and connected health devices.

According to CVS Chief Digital, Technology and Information Officer, the platform will feature a chatbot-style interface that can guide users through healthcare decisions. The AI system will monitor patient information, provide personalized health education, and suggest proactive care actions.

Health100 will also help users find healthcare providers, schedule appointments and estimate treatment costs and insurance coverage. In addition, it will support care management by recommending actions for acute and chronic conditions.

To gather patient data, CVS plans to use national health data-sharing networks such as Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) and collaborate with other healthcare organizations to improve interoperability.
