MDNIY Announces Continuing Medical Education Programme for Yoga Professionals

The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has announced a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme for Yoga therapists and Yoga instructors.

The programme was listed among the latest announcements on the institute’s official website on 1 October 2026. MDNIY has made the programme information available through its official announcement section, indicating a continued focus on professional education and training within the field of Yoga.

MDNIY serves as a national institution for Yoga education, training, therapy, promotion and research. The institute conducts academic programmes in Yoga, including undergraduate and postgraduate-level courses, diploma programmes and specialised certificate courses. It also operates an outpatient department providing therapeutic services through Yoga.

The newly announced CME initiative is specifically directed towards Yoga therapists and instructors, two professional groups involved in the practical application and teaching of Yoga. Continuing education programmes such as this provide an avenue for professionals to update their academic knowledge and remain connected with developments in Yoga-related education, therapy and practice.

The announcement comes alongside several other recent academic and training activities listed by MDNIY. These include an admission notice for its HPP programme, a national workshop on the Patanjali Yoga Sutra and a workshop focused on evidence-based Yoga and metabolic disorders.

MDNIY’s current announcements show that the institute continues to combine traditional Yoga knowledge with structured education, professional training, research and therapeutic applications. The CME programme adds another component to this ongoing academic and professional-development activity.

Further programme information, including the official announcement document, has been made available through the institute’s website for Yoga therapists and instructors seeking details about the initiative.
