GE HealthCare and Mayo Clinic join forces to advance personalized radiation therapy and cancer treatment

GE HealthCare has partnered with Mayo Clinic to launch the GE HealthCare–Mayo Clinic Initiative in Radiation Therapy (GEMINI-RT), a new collaboration aimed at advancing personalized radiation therapy and cancer care. Building on decades of collaboration and a strategic radiology research alliance formed in 2023, the initiative will focus on improving prediction, treatment planning, automation, workflows, and patient monitoring in radiation oncology. By combining Mayo Clinic’s clinical and research expertise with GE HealthCare’s engineering and AI capabilities, GEMINI-RT seeks to integrate imaging, advanced therapies, dosimetry, and monitoring across the full cancer care pathway. The collaboration centers on four priorities: automation, predictive oncology, multi-modal therapies, and connected outpatient care. Together, the partners aim to improve clinical outcomes, reduce clinician workload, and expand access to more precise, data-driven radiation therapy solutions.
