HaystackAnalytics launches ‘TB One’ solution to empower India's TB control efforts
HaystackAnalytics has launched ‘TB One,’ an innovative Make-in-India solution designed to revolutionize tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis through next-generation sequencing (NGS). This comprehensive offering includes a pre-sequencing kit for whole genome sequencing (WGS), access to the patented ‘Omega TB’ clinical reporting software, and on-demand sequencing data.
The Omega TB software provides a detailed report on resistance to 18 anti-TB drugs, mixed infections, nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), and heteroresistance, empowering healthcare providers with precise insights for improved TB management. By eliminating the need for extensive infrastructure upgrades, ‘TB One’ enables molecular labs to integrate high-precision genomic testing seamlessly. Each kit processes 16 samples, enhancing scalability and accessibility across diagnostic facilities.
Despite India’s 17.7% decline in TB incidence from 2015 to 2023, the country still accounts for 26% of the global TB burden, with drug-resistant TB posing a significant challenge. ‘TB One’ addresses this by enabling comprehensive drug resistance profiling in a single test, accelerating TB care and contributing to India’s goal of TB elimination.
