LISSUN Provides Mental Health Support to Over One Lakh Students Nationwide

LISSUN, one of India’s leading mental health platforms, has announced that it has delivered counselling and emotional wellness support to more than one lakh students across the country. The initiative began in Kota, where rising student suicides underscored the urgent need for psychological care. In partnership with Career Point University, LISSUN launched its first Emotional Wellness Camp in January 2023.

The Supreme Court’s July 25 ruling on the student mental health crisis—citing NCRB data of 13,044 student suicides in 2022—has reinforced LISSUN’s mission. The Court mandated counsellors, helplines, and standardised mental health policies in educational institutions, recognising well-being as a constitutional right.

Operating across 40+ cities and 20+ institutions, LISSUN has prevented over 1,000 potential self-harm cases through early identification, counselling, and AI-powered tools. Its omnichannel model combines on-site professionals, digital risk screening, teacher-parent training, and 24/7 helplines to embed mental wellness into India’s education system.
