Maharashtra Expands Free Dialysis Network with New Centre in Dharni

The Maharashtra government has launched its 60th free dialysis centre under the Mahadialysis programme at SDH Dharni, Amravati, aiming to provide life-saving care to underserved regions. Operated in partnership with HLL Lifecare Limited, the facility offers free dialysis, staffed by trained personnel and overseen by a medical officer.

Launched in September 2024, the programme has served 632 patients with over 22,000 sessions completed by June 2025. Online slot booking via web and mobile apps enhances accessibility. The initiative targets 433 centres across Maharashtra, including rural and women’s hospitals, equipped with 2,527 dialysis machines.

This expansion highlights the government’s commitment to accessible, affordable healthcare, especially in remote areas, helping reduce the financial burden on patients in need.
