NIMHANS to Host Mental Health Santhe 4.0 Focused on Community Wellbeing

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, will host Mental Health Santhe 4.0 on October 17–18, 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm at the NIMHANS Convention Centre. Organized by the Department of Mental Health Education in collaboration with multiple departments and supported under the Swachhta Action Plan 2025–26 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the event aims to engage the community and promote mental health awareness.

‘Santhe’ means marketplace in Kannada, and the event serves as a platform for mental health organizations, support groups, and stakeholders to interact with the public. This year’s theme, ‘Community Supporting Mental Wellbeing Together,’ aligns with World Mental Health Day 2025, emphasizing collaboration for resilient communities.

Visitors can explore interactive stalls, educational resources, film screenings, helplines, and hands-on experiences like holding a real brain specimen. A unique feature is a live poetry booth by Mariyam Saigal, offering personalized poems inspired by participants’ emotions.

The event targets students, caregivers, media professionals, and the public, aiming to raise awareness, empower communities, and highlight suicide prevention initiatives.
